Disney and Pokémon Company Announce Global Streaming Deal

Disney and The Pokémon Company International have announced a global distribution deal that will bring multiple animated series from the Pokémon franchise to Disney's streaming platforms. The agreement, revealed on August 28, 2026, during a panel at the Pokémon XP fan convention in San Francisco, includes the upcoming stop-motion series Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu and the classic Pokémon the Series: The Beginning. The new series, produced by the acclaimed British studio Aardman Animations, is set to debut on Disney XD and stream exclusively on Disney in 2027.
