Discovery+ Raises U.S. Prices Under Skydance
Discovery+ is raising its U.S. subscription prices, with the new rates taking effect immediately for new subscribers and existing customers receiving 30 days’ advance notice, according to the company. The increase comes after Skydance completed its merger with Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, as the company develops plans for its streaming services. The ad-supported Discovery+ plan is increasing by $1 to $6.99 a month, while the ad-free plan is rising by $2 to $11.99 a month. The changes apply to U.S. subscriptions. One report said existing subscribers would see the revised prices on billing statements on or after November 12, 2026. Discovery+ carries programming from networks including Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet and Magnolia Network. Antenna estimated that the service had 4.9 million paying subscribers in the United States in August 2026, about half of them on the ad-supported plan, according to one report. Skydance has said its streaming plans include eventually bringing HBO Max and Paramount together in a single service.
