Delhi Police register FIR after woman alleges scooter attack

Delhi Police have registered a first information report after a 21-year-old woman alleged that two unidentified motorcycle riders harassed her and struck her scooter near Panchsheel Metro Station in the Hauz Khas area of south Delhi, leaving her seriously injured. The incident allegedly occurred in the night of September 11 and 12, around 1 a.m., as the woman was returning home from her workplace in Saket on her scooter. In her complaint, the woman said the two men, apparently in their twenties, began passing remarks at her as she crossed Hauz Khas near Panchsheel Metro Station, then followed her on their motorcycle as she tried to move away. She alleged they came alongside her scooter and pushed it with their motorcycle, causing her to lose control and fall. According to her complaint, she skidded for about 100 to 150 metres on a road covered with stones, gravel and dust, suffering deep cuts, heavy bleeding and extensive skin injuries. Passersby arranged an ambulance, and colleagues who had received her live location reached the spot.
