Delhi Musician Killed Over Noise Dispute

A retired musician from Manipur died on Monday, September 7, 2026, after being assaulted outside his home in Delhi following a dispute over noise and public drinking. The victim, 54-year-old C Vikram Singh, was allegedly attacked by a group of delivery workers and dhaba staff after he asked them to lower their voices and stop drinking alcohol near his residence in Kilokari village. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, when Singh reportedly went downstairs from his apartment to confront the group. According to preliminary investigations, the men then attacked him, inflicting severe injuries with punches and blows. Singh was rushed to Holy Family Hospital by his son, Yaiphaba, but succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Monday morning. Police have registered a murder case in connection with the assault. Authorities have arrested seven adult suspects and apprehended one minor. The arrested adults have been identified as Bharat Kumar, 19; Pramod, 26; Ramzan Khan, 22; Deepanshu, 21; Mohan Vishwakarma, 32; Vijay, 36; and Mannu, 26. Investigators confirmed that the accused work at local food stalls and dhabas in the area.
