Cunningham’s TikTok appears to reference Wilson fan incident

Published 1 October 2026

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham posted a TikTok appearing to joke about Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson’s confrontation with a spectator during Game 2, adding a social-media comment to an incident that came as Indiana tied their best-of-three playoff series at one game apiece with a 99-89 win. Cunningham’s video, posted Wednesday, showed her speaking over morning coffee about a “comeback year for the point.” Its caption referred to the rulebook, and a text overlay included “IYKYK” and “Yikes.” Cunningham did not name Wilson, but the post appeared to reference the confrontation and the attention around pointing gestures. The video also recalled Cunningham’s own viral moment earlier this season, when she pointed toward DeWanna Bonner during a game involving Indiana and Phoenix. The Game 2 incident occurred in the fourth quarter after a foul call involving Cunningham and Wilson. A spectator near the baseline pointed toward Wilson, who left the playing area and approached him. Aces players and personnel intervened, and Wilson received a technical foul. The spectator was briefly removed from his seat and later returned.
