Cole Palmer extends Chelsea contract through 2034

Published 10 October 2026

Cole Palmer has signed a new contract with Chelsea through 2034, extending his previous agreement by one year on improved terms, the club confirmed on October 10. The deal secures the England international’s future at Stamford Bridge as he continues to play a central role in Chelsea’s attack. Palmer, whose previous contract ran until 2033, said he chose to extend because Chelsea means a lot to him and he believes the club is moving in the right direction. He said discussions with the club’s owners, sporting directors, manager and players gave him confidence, adding that he wants to help the team win major trophies and play a significant role. Chelsea described the new agreement as recognition of Palmer’s importance to the club. He joined from Manchester City in 2023 and has become a key attacking player. This season, he has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven appearances, according to the report announcing his contract. His extension comes as Chelsea manage his fitness following a persistent groin problem that affected his availability and form last season. Palmer missed England’s latest international fixtures.
