Chad Lowe Shares Faith and Peace Clip After Daughter’s Death

Published 9 October 2026

Chad Lowe shared a clip about faith, death and peace on Instagram Stories on October 8, his first social media post since the death of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona. The excerpt featured author Gerry Hussey speaking on the On Healing podcast about spirituality and what he believes follows death. Lowe did not add a separate message to the repost, and it does not establish his personal beliefs or his reasons for sharing it. In the clip, Hussey described people as connected to a divine presence and said that, after death, people return to a state of peace and love. He also spoke about reaching a spiritual state through awareness and meditation. The podcast episode was recorded in June 2025, according to reports about the post. Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, announced Fiona’s death on September 29 in a family statement. They described her as loving, smart and creative, and said she loved to dance. They also said Fiona was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents, and asked for privacy as the family grieved. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled Fiona’s manner of death a suicide in a report released October 2, according to accounts citing the report.
