Catherine and Charlotte Reported Riding Elizabeth Line

Published 12 October 2026

Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Princess Charlotte were reported riding an Elizabeth line train through central London on Saturday, October 10, before getting off at Tottenham Court Road. Accounts of the outing said the pair sat among other passengers and spoke briefly with people in the carriage. Their destination was not reported as known. The reported sighting came from fellow passengers, with accounts published in the days that followed. One witness said the pair appeared relaxed and were chatting and smiling. Another description said Charlotte seemed amazed as she looked around the carriage. Those observations were attributed to witnesses, not to the royal family. The train ride was on the Elizabeth line, part of Transport for London’s rail network. The pair were reportedly accompanied by a security detail that kept a low profile. A spokesman for the Princess of Wales declined to comment on what was described as private family time. Catherine and Charlotte’s trip took them to Tottenham Court Road, but no account established where they were headed or what they did afterward. The station is in central London.
