Artificial to premiere at New York Film Festival, London screening follows

Luca Guadagnino’s film “Artificial,” starring Andrew Garfield as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, will have its world premiere at the 64th New York Film Festival on October 5, 2026, followed by a gala screening at the BFI London Film Festival on October 11. The announcement confirms a major festival rollout for the highly anticipated drama, which chronicles the tumultuous period in late 2023 when Altman was abruptly fired and then reinstated by OpenAI’s board. The film will debut in NYFF’s Main Slate at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, with director Guadagnino and members of the cast expected to attend. The festival runs from September 25 through October 12, 2026.
