Actress Alexandra Metz is set to join the cast of ABC's "Will Trent" as a series regular for its upcoming fifth season, taking on the role of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's new Deputy Director. Metz, known for her role as Dr. Yolanda Garcia in "The Pitt," will portray Birdie Palmer, a character described as confident, ambitious, and razor-sharp, yet deeply guarded due to a past life-altering event. Her casting fills the void left by the departure of Amanda Wagner, played by Sonja Sohn, whose character died offscreen during a solo investigation in Season 4.
