ADL Says Banned Editor’s Wikipedia Changes Remain

Published 15 October 2026

The Anti-Defamation League says edits by a banned Wikipedia editor remain in prominent articles about Israel and related subjects, while activity it identifies as coordinated has declined sharply and newer editing has become less overt. In a report released October 15, the ADL said 91 of 398 assessable edits by Iskandar323 remain active across six articles. The editor made 485 edits to those entries overall, the organization said. The articles cover Zionism, Israel, Hamas, the October 7 attacks, the Gaza war and Jews. The figures and conclusions come from the ADL’s review of Wikipedia revision histories. The supplied reporting does not include an independent examination of the cited edits or determine whether they violated Wikipedia’s rules. The ADL says the editor was banned from editing Israel-related topics before being banned from Wikipedia altogether in January; the report says the organization found no systematic review of the editor’s prior work. The ADL also reported that visible coordination among a group of about 30 editors fell by roughly 95% after its March 2025 report.
