Adam Iza Gets 78 Months in Federal Prison

Published 6 October 2026

Adam Iza was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for fraud, tax evasion and conspiring with off-duty Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies to intimidate people involved in disputes with him. U.S. District Judge Percy Anderson also ordered him to pay $23,402,766 in restitution. The California sentence will run concurrently with a separate 15-year federal term Iza received in Connecticut for an attempted Bitcoin robbery. The concurrent terms mean the 78-month sentence does not extend the 15-year sentence, according to court-related reporting. Iza has been in federal custody since September 2024. Iza pleaded guilty in January 2025 to conspiracy against rights, wire fraud and tax evasion. Prosecutors said he gained access to Meta advertising accounts and their credit lines, then resold account access to advertising companies. Customers were billed for advertising they had not purchased, and Meta issued refunds. The reported fraud totals reflect different measures and periods. Prosecutors said about $37 million flowed into Iza’s company accounts from advertising buyers between 2020 and 2022. Iza admitted receiving at least $36,360,844 in gross proceeds through 2023.
