Aces eliminate Fever as Wilson scores 36 in Game 3

The Las Vegas Aces beat the Indiana Fever 94-83 on Thursday in Game 3 of their first-round WNBA playoff series, eliminating Indiana and advancing to the next round. A’ja Wilson scored 36 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the defending champions in the deciding game. Wilson made 11 of 18 shots, according to the game report. The four-time WNBA MVP had opened the series with 38 points and 16 rebounds, while the Aces lost Game 2 before closing out the series at home. Las Vegas has now eliminated Indiana from the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Indiana twice cut the Aces’ lead to two points in the fourth quarter after Las Vegas had moved ahead 67-55 in the third. The Fever could not complete the comeback. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 23 points, and Aliyah Boston recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds. Caitlin Clark scored 18 points and had four assists, according to one account; the game report recorded 11 points for Clark, including seven after the first quarter. The accounts differ on her final scoring total. Las Vegas also received 23 points from Chelsea Gray and 18 from Jackie Young.
