2K to Delist NBA 2K25 and End Online Services

Published 6 October 2026

2K says it will remove NBA 2K25 from digital storefronts on October 30, 2026, and end the game’s online services at the close of December 31. Players who already own the basketball game will still be able to redownload it and play certain offline modes, according to the company’s announcement. Beginning January 1, 2027, multiplayer, Online Leagues, community sharing and other features requiring a connection to 2K servers will be unavailable. Players will also no longer be able to earn Virtual Currency, the announcement says. The reports do not specify the exact time or time zone when online access will end. 2K says Play Now, MyNBA, The W and MyWNBA will remain playable offline. MyCAREER and MyTEAM, however, will no longer be available after online access ends. The announcement does not clarify whether any portion of MyCAREER can be played without a server connection, despite its inclusion of a single-player story mode. The changes follow separate dates for the game’s digital sales and online support: October 30 is the last day it is scheduled to be available for digital purchase, while December 31 is the announced discontinuation date.
