Woman pleads not guilty to juror intimidation at Clancy trial

A 56-year-old Massachusetts woman pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a felony charge of jury intimidation after she was arrested outside the courthouse where Lindsay Clancy is on trial for murdering her three children. Dawn Light of Sutton was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon following allegations that she filmed jurors as they left the building, an act prosecutors said threatened the integrity of the high-profile case. The incident occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, just minutes after jurors were dismissed for the day without reaching a verdict. According to authorities, Light was in the courthouse parking lot and allegedly attempted to photograph and record the jurors from her vehicle. State police charged her with one count of intimidation of a juror, a serious felony that carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison because the underlying Clancy case involves a possible life sentence. During her arraignment Wednesday morning at Plymouth Superior Court, prosecutor Nicole Piacentini argued that Light’s actions put the judicial system at risk.
