Valve Steam Leak Exposes 12TB of Game Files From 2003 to 2013

Published 31 August 2026

A massive leak of over 12 terabytes of internal data from Valve's Steam platform has exposed beta builds, unreleased projects, and full versions of games published between 2003 and 2013. The breach, which surfaced online around August 29, 2026, is considered one of the largest video game leaks in history and affects not only Valve's own titles but also games from numerous third-party developers. The leaked archive, dubbed the "Steam2 Content Server Dump," contains data from Valve's previous content distribution system, which was phased out in 2013 after the introduction of SteamPipe.
