The United Kingdom is bracing for widespread heavy rainfall this week, with the Met Office forecasting downpours across 88 counties on Wednesday, September 2. The band of rain is expected to move eastwards from the west, bringing potential travel disruption and following a weekend of thunderstorms and flood alerts.
