Udta Teer Trailer Released Ahead of October 9 Debut

The trailer for Udta Teer was released on September 23, introducing Ayushmann Khurrana as a Pakistani spy whose memory loss leads him to believe he is Indian. The comedy, directed by debutant Akash A Kaushik, is scheduled to open in cinemas on October 9, 2026; the release remains in the future, and the film’s reception is not yet known. The trailer presents Khurrana as Bilal Ahmed, who enters India on a mission and loses his memory after an accident. Believing himself to be Indian, he joins a counterterrorism team and becomes caught up in the comic conflict surrounding his identity and loyalties. Sara Ali Khan also stars, alongside Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, Gulshan Grover, Raghubir Yadav, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Smita Tambe and Mukul Dev. The promotional footage combines espionage, action and comedy, with scenes built around Bilal’s mistaken identity. It also includes a moment in which the character chants “Pakistan Zindabad.” At the trailer launch, Khurrana said the line was part of the script and that he followed what the role required. He described the film as a spy comedy and said he was drawn to the script and Kaushik’s direction.
