Trivium Releases New Single Dead Inside of Me

Heavy metal band Trivium has released a new single, "Dead Inside of Me," marking the first new music from their forthcoming eleventh studio album. The track, which debuted on September 16, 2026, is the follow-up to the band's 2021 album, "In the Court of the Dragon." The release was accompanied by an official music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin. The single is described as featuring modern thrash riffs, guitar-forward power grooves, and melodic vocals. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto explained the song's origins, stating it came together at the end of a writing session last summer, built around a riff he had held onto for several years. He noted the creative process involved blending contrasting musical ideas, such as a death metal riff played with a stadium rock feel. Gregoletto also shared the thematic inspiration behind the song, saying it was loosely inspired by the Japanese concept of "honne and tatemae," which refers to the tension between one's true inner feelings and the public persona presented to the world. The accompanying music video depicts a narrative involving a man pursued by a masked figure, culminating in a role reversal.
