Theo James, star of the Netflix series The Gentlemen, has dismissed reports that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will join the show's upcoming third season, calling the speculation "a lot of hot air." His comments come as the series prepares to launch its second season on Thursday, September 3, 2026. In an interview with Town & Country magazine, James was asked directly about the rumors. He initially joked, "Yes, Fergie is joining. She'll be playing my love interest," referring to Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. He then clarified his stance on the Markle reports, stating, "No, I think that was mainly a lot of hot air." The actor, who plays Duke Eddie Horniman in the Guy Ritchie-created series, explained that the production's current focus is on the new season. "At the moment, we're just trying to get as many eyes on season two, and then season three will happen soon," he said.
