Tether Fasanara Launch $400M Private Credit Fund

Published 10 September 2026

Tether and Fasanara Capital have launched StableFund, an evergreen private credit fund anchored by $400 million in combined capital from the two firms. The fund aims to raise up to $3 billion from third-party institutional investors to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), consumer credit, and trade receivables. Fasanara Capital will serve as the investment manager, deploying capital through its global network of over 140 fintech lenders across more than 60 countries. Tether will act as a co-sponsor and originator, sourcing USDT-linked financing opportunities and providing settlement, treasury, and on-off ramp infrastructure. This partnership seeks to embed stablecoin-native infrastructure into traditional finance, facilitating faster, cross-border credit flows. According to the companies, StableFund is positioned to address an estimated $5.7 trillion global SME financing gap. "We are turning Tethers origination network into a direct channel for capital to flow to the businesses and communities that need it most," said Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.
