Telluride Film Festival Unveils 2026 Lineup With Secret Premiere

The 53rd Telluride Film Festival is set to begin on September 4, 2026, in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, unveiling a lineup of more than sixty feature films, shorts, and revivals that emphasizes independent and artisanal filmmaking. The four-day festival, which runs through September 7, will feature world premieres of several anticipated films and honor three major artists with its Silver Medallion tributes. Among the key world premieres are Andrew Haigh's family drama "A Long Winter," Jesse Eisenberg's musical comedy "The Debut" starring Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti, and Mike Leigh's "Tender Loving Care," which may be the veteran director's final film. Simon Stone's "Elsinore," starring Andrew Scott as actor Ian Charleson, is also making its debut. The festival's executive director, Julie Huntsinger, described the lineup as reflecting a "heartbreaking, tender year" with a focus on handmade, personal cinema. The festival will present its 2026 Silver Medallions to three artists. Filmmaker Andrew Haigh, who is also debuting "A Long Winter," will be honored.
