Street Fighter movie trailer launches interactive YouTube version

Paramount Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have unveiled a new, action-packed trailer for the upcoming live-action Street Fighter film, set to premiere in theaters on October 16, 2026. Accompanying the trailer release, the studios launched an innovative playable version on YouTube, allowing fans to engage with the footage by performing combat sequences. The film, directed by Kitao Sakurai, is set in 1993 and centers on estranged fighters Ryu, portrayed by Andrew Koji, and Ken Masters, played by Noah Centineo. They are drawn back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. This brutal competition, however, uncovers a deadly conspiracy that forces the rivals to confront their past and a sinister organizer, M. Bison, brought to life by David Dastmalchian. The new trailer showcases explosive martial arts sequences and recognizable special moves from the video game franchise, including Ryu's iconic Hadouken. It highlights the film's vibrant, 1990s-inspired atmosphere and its embrace of the games' over-the-top spectacle.
