Spotify rolls out Taste Profile beta to U.S. Premium users

Published 24 September 2026

Spotify is rolling out Taste Profile, a beta feature that lets eligible U.S. Premium subscribers review how the service interprets their listening interests and use written requests to influence recommendations on the Home feed. The feature is available to users aged 18 and older, following earlier testing in New Zealand, Spotify says. Taste Profile summarizes interests Spotify associates with an account across music, podcasts and audiobooks. Users can enter natural-language preferences asking for more or less of particular genres, artists, moods or topics. Spotify says those notes are intended to guide what appears in Home recommendations, rather than issue strict commands. Users can find the feature by tapping their profile picture in the mobile app and selecting Taste Profile. A text field labeled Tell us more lets them describe what they want to hear or see more or less often. Spotify says changes should begin appearing in recommendations within a few hours, and users can edit or delete their notes later. The feature is designed to give listeners a way to adjust recommendations beyond what the service infers from their listening activity.
