SNL Finalizes Season 52 Cast With Two New Featured Players

Published 17 September 2026

Saturday Night Live has finalized its cast for Season 52, adding two new featured players and promoting two existing members following a series of departures. The NBC sketch comedy series announced on Wednesday, September 16, that comedians Grace Reiter and Saidah Belo-Osagie are joining the ensemble ahead of the new season's premiere on September 26. The additions come after Chloe Fineman, a cast member for seven seasons, announced her departure in July. Martin Herlihy, a writer and former performer with the show for five seasons, also exited. Bowen Yang had previously left midseason in December 2025. Alongside the new hires, Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline have been promoted from featured players to repertory players. Both are entering their third season with the show. The rest of the Season 51 cast, including veterans Kenan Thompson, Michael Che, Colin Jost, and Mikey Day, will return. Reiter is a Wisconsin-born comedian and actor known for her work on the TikTok sketch series Stapleview and HBO's The Chair Company. She is also set to appear in the upcoming Netflix mockumentary Minimum Wage.
