Six Flags to Relocate Headquarters From Charlotte to Arlington

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, that it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Charlotte, North Carolina, back to Arlington, Texas, completing the transition by March 2027. The move consolidates the company's leadership at its existing offices in Arlington's Choctaw Stadium, which has served as a corporate hub since 2020. The decision marks a return to the city where the first Six Flags park, Six Flags Over Texas, opened in 1961. Six Flags President and CEO John Reilly stated that the relocation is intended to enhance operational efficiency and collaboration. "After an extensive review, we determined that concentrating our personnel, processes, and decisionmaking in our Arlington office, where a portion of Six Flags corporate employees are located, is the best path forward for the company," Reilly said in a statement. He added that Arlington's location at the heart of the company's five Texas parks provides leadership with direct access to park operations. The headquarters move follows the company's $8 billion merger with rival Cedar Fair, completed in July 2024.
