Sadhguru Proposes Five-Nation Himalayan Board for Disaster Response

Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has proposed the creation of a five-nation Himalayan Board to coordinate disaster response and ecological protection across the mountain range, following devastating flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border. Speaking at an "In Solidarity With Nepal" event in Lalitpur on August 30, 2026, Sadhguru also pledged Rs 1 crore to Nepal's Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. The proposal comes as Nepal continues to grapple with the aftermath of the August 26 floods, which were triggered by a massive glacial collapse near Lhende Khola, approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the Rasuwagadhi border point.
