Ryan Murphy Completes Script for Possible Glee Reboot

Ryan Murphy said he and Glee co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan have finished a script for a possible reboot of the musical comedy, while stressing that no original cast members have read it and no revival is confirmed. Murphy described the script as newly completed in an interview on Wednesday. He said he had been in touch with around 10 members of the original cast, who had asked questions and were enthusiastic about the idea. Their reaction was to the prospect of a reboot, not to the script itself, which Murphy said had not yet been read by anyone. Murphy said he wanted to write a couple of scripts for people to consider, particularly the cast, with whom he said he had been close while making the series. The reports did not establish whether the cast will receive the script or what decision might follow. A completed draft and positive initial reactions do not amount to a commitment to produce a new season or other revival. Glee, created by Murphy, Falchuk and Brennan, ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015.
