Rupert Grint to Reprise Ron Weasley on Broadway in 2027

Rupert Grint, the actor who portrayed Ron Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films, will reprise the role on Broadway this winter. He is set to join the cast of the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for a limited 17-week engagement at New York's Lyric Theatre, beginning February 2, 2027, and running through May 30, 2027. Grint, now 38, will play the adult version of the character he originated as a child in the film series. The play is set 19 years after the events of the original story, with Ron Weasley grown up, married to Hermione Granger, and raising a family.
