Ruby Rose Mourns Friend Hayden Panettiere as Death Investigation Continues

Actress Ruby Rose has publicly mourned the death of her close friend, actress Hayden Panettiere, describing a deep five-year friendship. Panettiere, known for her roles in "Heroes," "Nashville," and the "Scream" franchise, died at her home in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16 at the age of 36. Rose shared her memories during a recent interview at a press event for the Fox series "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test." She became emotional while recalling their bond, stating, "That was my best friend. We spoke every day for five years." Rose explained that she was initially hesitant about forming friendships within the entertainment industry but said Panettiere approached her at an event and insisted they had much in common. "I saw her, she saw me, and I just remember thinking, 'Oh, no.' And then she ran up anyway and was like, 'Hey, I'm Hayden. Can we go talk somewhere? We've got a lot in common,'" Rose recounted. "And I just laughed. I was like, 'What?' ... And then we went and talked, and we had everything in common." Rose emphasized that Panettiere's primary desire was to control her own narrative.
