Ross Kemp’s paranoia takes center stage on The Celebrity Traitors

Published 2 October 2026

Ross Kemp’s suspicions became a focus of the first episode of the second season of The Celebrity Traitors after he interpreted two ordinary interactions as possible attempts to kill him in plain sight. The actor said he was feeling paranoid after Bella Ramsey placed a captain’s hat on his head following a mission and Leigh-Anne Pinnock later rubbed his arm in the castle bar. After Ramsey put the hat on him, Kemp asked whether she had just killed him. Later, when Pinnock touched his arm, he questioned her about the gesture. Pinnock said she had rubbed her arm because she was cold. Kemp then acknowledged that he was paranoid, according to the episode account. Kemp explained that his guard was up and that someone touching him, offering him a drink or speaking to him unusually could make him suspect he was being targeted. Both interactions were treated as possible “murders in plain sight,” a tactic in which an apparently innocent gesture conceals a killing. The episode did not establish that either moment was an actual attempt to kill him.
