Robinhood Outlines AI Tools and Trading Expansion
Robinhood Markets announced an expansion of its trading platform at its HOOD Summit in Houston on September 29, including AI-assisted trading tools and plans for crypto derivatives and weekend stock trading. The company said some features are beginning to roll out, while several offerings remain planned or subject to regulatory approval, with no confirmed launch dates for key products. The central new feature, Robinhood Agents, lets customers create dedicated accounts for AI models to research markets and propose or place trades under user-set parameters. Robinhood said manual approval of each trade is enabled by default and agents can use only funds held in those accounts. The company also announced Loops, a planned feature for setting recurring instructions so agents can monitor markets and act when specified conditions are met. The broader availability and final terms for these tools have not been established. Robinhood reported that more than 150,000 agentic accounts had been opened and that its tools were being used about 30 million times daily. Those figures come from the company; the reports do not define the activity measure or establish how many uses result in trades.
