A rare partial solar eclipse is set to darken skies across Scotland on Wednesday evening, August 12, with the moon expected to obscure more than 90 percent of the sun. The event, the most significant over the UK since the total eclipse of 1999, will begin shortly after 6 p.m. and conclude around 8:15 p.m.
