Paramount Sets Frisco King Premiere for December 18

Published 15 October 2026

Paramount has released the first teaser for Frisco King and announced that the Tulsa King spinoff is scheduled to premiere with two episodes on December 18, 2026. The series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a gangster seeking to build a criminal operation in Frisco, Texas. The announcement sets the series’ debut on Paramount’s streaming service. Reports say the first season will have eight episodes, with new episodes released on Fridays after the two-episode premiere. The December date is also scheduled to coincide with the Tulsa King season four finale, according to one report. The teaser introduces Jackson’s character in his new setting and features Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Dwight Manfredi. Stallone is making a special appearance in the spinoff. Jackson first played Washington in Tulsa King, where the character’s connection with Manfredi helped set up the new series. Paramount’s description says Washington arrives in Frisco and finds opportunities for illicit business beneath the surface of suburbia. He recruits a protégé, a driver and other partners as he expands small-time schemes into a larger enterprise.
