Osun Police Arrest Man Over Alleged Assault of Minor

Osun State Police Command said it arrested Adeyemo Mukaila, 45, over allegations that he sexually assaulted a minor twice in Ikire, including in September and on October 2. The allegations have not been independently established in the information provided by police. Police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi said Mukaila was a friend of the girl’s grandmother and frequently visited the home where she lived. According to the police account, the first alleged assault occurred in September 2026, after Mukaila asked the girl to come to his house on the pretext of helping him obtain items. Police said he then took her into a room and assaulted her. The second alleged incident occurred on October 2, which police said was the girl’s birthday. Ojelabi’s statement said Mukaila gave her N1,000 after she told him it was her birthday, then asked her to bring him a gift. The girl bought biscuits and took them to his workshop in the Ilupeju area of Ikire, according to the statement. Police alleged that Mukaila took her from the workshop to a nearby bush and assaulted her.
