Opera relaunches Air with soundscapes and break reminders

Opera has relaunched Air, its minimalist web browser, with built-in soundscapes, customizable break reminders and a refreshed interface aimed at reducing distractions. The updated browser is available free for Windows and macOS, Opera says. Soundscapes offers four categories: Focus, Relax, Work and Ambience. The Ambience selection includes environmental sounds such as forests and the sea, while the other categories offer music intended to suit different activities or moods. Opera says five new soundscapes feature original music composed for Air, including Hyperfocus, a more energetic track designed for concentrating on a task. The update also adds customizable break reminders that can prompt users to try breathing exercises or neck stretches. The breathing exercises are offered in four categories: Destress, Refresh, Box Breathing and Relax. Users can set intervals for reminders, and the tools are accessible through the browser’s sidebar. Opera has redesigned the browser’s appearance with new wallpapers drawing on open spaces, perspective and natural textures.
