OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 and visual ChatGPT interface

Published 7 October 2026

OpenAI announced on October 7 that it is rolling out GPT-6 models for ChatGPT alongside Intelligent UI, a feature that can make responses visual and interactive. Depending on a user’s request, answers may include diagrams, charts, buttons, forms or tools such as calculators, rather than text alone. OpenAI said GPT-6 Sol is rolling out to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise subscribers. The company said GPT-6 Luna would begin rolling out to Free and Go users the following day, October 8. Other accounts described broader availability during the week, but the supplied information does not establish a single confirmed schedule across every tier. Intelligent UI is designed to adapt the form of an answer to the task. A comparison could appear side by side, while an explanation might use a diagram. For more involved questions, ChatGPT may generate interactive charts or widgets that let users adjust inputs and explore how results change. OpenAI’s examples included calculators, bill-splitting tools and games built into a conversation.
