OpenAI has launched a new capability for its ChatGPT Work agent, allowing it to perform tasks on websites that require a login while keeping user credentials hidden from the AI model. The feature, which became available on August 25, 2026, for Plus, Pro, and Business subscribers on web and mobile, enables the agent to navigate authenticated sessions through a cloud-based remote browser. The system works by pausing the conversation when a login is required and presenting a secure form for the user to enter their username and password. According to OpenAI, these credentials are transmitted directly to the remote browser instance and are not visible to the underlying GPT-5.
