Nvidia CEO rejects new AI laws at Dreamforce, clashing with Anthropic

Huang argued that existing market forces and corporate responsibility are sufficient safeguards. "We don't need any new laws. We don't need new regulations," he said during an interview with Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff. "Safety is an engineering problem. We're developing software after all." He urged companies to "run as fast as you can," but to pause if they lose confidence in a product's safety before release. In a separate interview on CNBC's Mad Money, Huang further rejected the need for antitrust exemptions that would allow AI labs to coordinate safety work, calling them "completely unnecessary." He also dismissed warnings that AI poses an existential threat, stating, "We're not going to die in 2030.
