New Shaun the Sheep Film Earns Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score
Aardman Animations' latest stop-motion film, "Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom," has earned a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes from 14 early reviews, making it one of the studio's best-reviewed projects ever. The film, the third in the Shaun the Sheep movie franchise, is scheduled for theatrical release on September 18, 2026. The Halloween-themed comedy follows the familiar residents of Mossy Bottom Farm as they prepare for a holiday hoedown. The plot is set in motion when the Farmer accidentally destroys the flock's prized pumpkin patch. In an attempt to fix the problem, Shaun the Sheep turns to science, conducting experiments that lead to unintended consequences. The Farmer becomes covered in thick, matted orange fur and is mistaken for a mysterious beast roaming the countryside, sparking fear and panic. Directed by Steve Cox and Matthew Walker, the film features a screenplay by Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow. The voice cast includes Justin Fletcher as Shaun, John Sparkes as the Farmer, and introduces Nina Sosanya as a new human character, a veterinarian with whom the Farmer has a crush.
