New Pokémon Movie Wild Card Announced for 2027

A new Pokémon movie titled Pokémon Wild Card was announced on August 30, 2026, marking the franchise's first theatrical film in seven years. The announcement was made by Pokémon Company president and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships at the Chase Center in San Francisco. "For the first time in seven years, a new Pokémon movie is on its way," Ishihara told the audience.
