Netflix has announced a new limited series titled The Unheard, starring Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet and Maxine Peake as two sisters who go on the run after an act of vengeance goes wrong. The five-episode thriller, described as a "Thelma Louise"-style vengeance drama, was unveiled at the Edinburgh TV Festival on August 26, 2026. Production is scheduled to begin in 2027, though a release date has not yet been set. The series comes from writer Jack Thorne, known for the acclaimed Netflix drama Adolescence, and is directed by Mounia Akl.
