Nekki Announces Spine for Summer 2027 Release

Developer Nekki has announced a summer 2027 release window for its cinematic action game Spine, revealing a new trailer and key details during the Future Games Show at gamescom 2026. The singleplayer title will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, with a planned version for Nintendo Switch 2 to follow after the initial release. Spine is set in Tensor City, a cyberpunk megametropolis built by an artificial intelligence to sustain humanity following an ecological collapse. The city is divided between the gleaming New City and the decaying Old City, with citizens' lives governed by a Social Rating system.
