NBC Premieres Line of Fire Family Law Drama

NBC's new drama Line of Fire premiered on September 21, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, launching a family-law-enforcement series created by Joshua Safran that follows the Hollingsworths, whose members work across the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice. Peter Krause stars as Mike Hollingsworth, a Secret Service agent nearing retirement, while Hope Davis plays his estranged wife Jane, a senior U.S. Marshal. Their three adult children have followed similar paths: Clare works for the FBI, Micah is in the Secret Service, and Russ is a Department of Justice analyst. The premise places professionally trained observers and information-withholders inside the same household. The series opens with the couple living apart. "They're not living in the same house when the show opens. We have some secrets from one another and some things that we never could agree on, but are we done with each other yet? I don't think so," Davis said during NBC's second annual Backlot Pass Day.
