Modi receives Uzbekistan's highest state honour during Tashkent visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred Uzbekistan's highest state honour, the Order of Oliy Darajali Dustlik, on Sunday during a two-day state visit to Tashkent, as the two nations agreed to elevate their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and signed a series of agreements to deepen cooperation across trade, energy, and cultural sectors. The award was presented by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during delegation-level talks at the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace. Accepting the honour, Modi dedicated it to the enduring friendship between India and Uzbekistan and to the people of India.
