CIA Chief Ratcliffe Proposes Trump-Putin-Zelenskyy Summit in Moscow Visit

CIA Director John Ratcliffe proposed a trilateral summit between U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a covert visit to Moscow earlier this week, according to multiple reports. The proposal, aimed at reviving diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, was discussed during Ratcliffe's meetings with senior Russian intelligence officials. Ratcliffe traveled secretly to Moscow on Tuesday, where he met with Russia's foreign intelligence chief, Sergey Naryshkin, and Federal Security Service (FSB) director, Alexander Bortnikov. According to sources, the CIA director presented a bleak assessment of the war and urged Russia to reach a deal before its position deteriorated further. Ratcliffe also explored whether Russian intelligence chiefs could help persuade Putin to resume U.S.-mediated negotiations with Ukraine. The visit marked Ratcliffe's first direct involvement in high-level diplomatic efforts concerning the conflict.
