McLaren to End 750S Production in 2027
McLaren says production of its 750S supercar will end in 2027, with final orders now being accepted for the V8-powered model. The company has not announced confirmed specifications or a launch date for a successor. The decision marks the end of a model line that began with the 720S, introduced in 2017. The 750S arrived in 2023 as an updated version of that car, with a more powerful engine and lower weight, according to the reports. McLaren described the 750S as representing the performance, driver engagement, technical innovation and design associated with its supercars. Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, McLaren Automotive’s chief commercial officer, said the car would leave an extraordinary legacy. The company’s announcement sets 2027 as the production end year, but does not specify a month or final production date. The 750S is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. It followed the 720S, which itself succeeded the 650S, and the platform also produced the track-focused 765LT. The lineage has spanned roughly a decade, though the 750S itself was introduced in 2023 rather than being built throughout that period.
