Marvel and WEBTOON Set November Launch for Comics App
Marvel and WEBTOON say a new Marvel Comics app will launch November 16, 2026, and replace Marvel Unlimited, shifting Marvel’s digital comics subscription service to a platform developed and operated by WEBTOON Entertainment. Marvel said subscribers will be able to move their existing library and reading history to the new app, which will offer two subscription tiers. Marvel Unlimited is scheduled to stop receiving new content on December 7, according to the companies’ announcement. The available reports differ on the later wind-down milestones: one says readers can access their libraries through December 21 and the service will end December 28, while another describes December 7 as the shutdown date. The final date for access has not been consistently specified. The new app’s Base tier is priced at $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year, plus tax. Marvel said new issues will become available in that tier after a delay of up to three months from print publication, though the exact availability promise is described differently across the announcement coverage. The Ultimate tier costs $12.49 monthly or $99.
