Martinez says son wants to address court in custody dispute

Published 13 October 2026

Olivier Martinez says his 13-year-old son, Maceo, wants to speak to a judge about an alleged incident involving Halle Berry, as the former couple’s custody dispute continues. Martinez also asked the court to bar Berry’s 18-year-old daughter, Nahla Aubry, from participating in the case, according to court filings described in reports published October 12 and 13. In his filing, Martinez said Maceo wanted to tell the court what he experienced on September 26 and that hearing from him would serve the teenager’s interests. The claim about Maceo’s wishes comes from Martinez’s account; the supplied reports do not independently confirm it. Whether the court will allow Maceo to speak has not been established. Martinez argued that Nahla, Berry’s daughter with Gabriel Aubry, has no significant bearing on the custody dispute and is biased. Nahla’s court declaration says she has never witnessed Berry physically abuse Maceo. She described her mother as a loving and devoted parent. Berry’s own declaration, filed October 5, says she has never physically, emotionally or otherwise abused Maceo. Her attorney, Marina Beck, called Martinez’s filing meritless and misleading.
