Rapper Lil Durk was acquitted of all federal murder-for-hire charges on September 12, 2026, following a trial in Los Angeles. The jury delivered the not-guilty verdict after two weeks of testimony and three days of deliberations, clearing the Grammy-nominated artist of allegations that he orchestrated a 2022 plot to kill rapper Quando Rondo. The shooting, which resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviaya Lul Pab Robinson, had been the central event in the federal case. The defense argued that Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, was not responsible for organizing the attack. Lawyers maintained that a former personal assistant ordered the hit to impress his boss, according to the Los Angeles City News Service. The ex-assistant and two other associates originally indicted with the rapper reached plea deals and testified for the prosecution.
